Points to Remember for getting CBSE Affiliation

Schools in India are affiliated to the State Board of CISCECBSE Board or IB Board. The most preferred among these is the CBSE which follows the curriculum that is best suited for preparation of various competitive examinations that will lead them on to their choice of careers.

The individual or a group of people desirous of Opening a CBSE School in India first form a trust or a society. They could also form a Section 8 Company. It should be remembered that the society or trust should be Not for Profit and must be of Non-Proprietary nature. The society they should buy or lease at least 1.5 acres to 2.0 acres of land. For larger towns with a population of more than 15 lakhs, 1 acre is sufficient.
The land use should be Educational. The approved plan of the building should satisfy the norms of the CBSE Board which stipulates the size of classrooms, library, and laboratories. The school should apply for state board affiliation. Once this is granted then the school can apply for a NOC and apply for the CBSE Affiliation. The staff should have the minimum qualifications and experience.

The online portal for filing the application for Middle School Syllabus Approval / Affiliation /Up-gradation to +2 Stage is 30th June of every year. If there are no deficiencies the CBSE forms the Inspection Committee and affiliation is granted if the committee approves.
